Institute of Artificial Intelligence of Samara National Research University
The multidisciplinary Institute of Artificial Intelligence was launched on February 21, 2020 to facilitate the cross functional implementation of scientific innovation at Russian and international companies
Building The Future
AI Decision Support Systems
University scientific edge in machine learning and AI, combined with industrial partners domain knowledge, led to the new generation of intelligent decision support systems (IDSS) based on AI that go beyond traditional knowledge and expert systems.
Digital Twins
An industrial test bench-twin for anomaly detection based on AI has been developed. It allows us not only to register and process system parameters, but also to program various changes in the control of environmental aspects.
Computer Vision Systems
Producing of complex computer vision systems for monitoring infrastructure facilities and video analytics based on innovative optics and deep learning.

Workplace Safety
AI for industrial safety improving, including the collection and processing of data on production processes and the state of components and assemblies, anomaly detection, atypical behavior and monitoring of compliance with safety requirements.
Virtual Reality
Development of VR / AR applications with an eye tracking system and a sequence of actions for creating laboratory simulators for developing professional skills and accelerating decision-making in real situations.
VR in Archaeology
The rich historical heritage of the Samara region provides the opportunity to visualize three-dimensional models of the results of archaeological excavations using VR technologies. The VR Museum of Archaeological Artifacts was created.
Computational Aesthetics
The successful coexistence of man and machine implies communication in a common language. Advances in AI allow us to create AI systems that can not only automatically classify objects according to human criteria of beauty, but to create such objects.
Agriculture
The university's expertise in Earth remote sensing, processing of video data from light aircraft and the technology for the production of ultralight hyperspectrometers make it possible to create automated and cost-effective agro-industrial systems.
AI in space
The AI Institute has a long history of using intelligent systems in low-earth orbit, including for Earth remote sensing and for in-orbit computing.
AI in Medicine
The AI Institute has long been cooperating with the Samara Medical University to create AI systems in medicine. In the direction of cognitive research, the AI Institute has participated in the creation of an open platform for neural feedback using machine learning, OpenNFT.org together with the world's leading scientific centers.
Artificial Intelligence in Telecommunications
General approach to anomaly detections developed at the Institute worked well for the telecom networking data. Many telecoms are creating value-added services for their residential and corporate customers, and the AI based on the time series networking data helps create personalized products to improve ARPU and NPS.
